I have recently registered both PnP pro and Truevision 3d 6.5 and, since in my opinion they couple very well together, I'm in the course of transporting the PnP demoterrain directly in Truevision, slightly enhancing the graphic quality of the textures and applying some shaders.

It's only an initial test (I've been playng for only a couple of days) so please be fair

Welcome.

Looks very good so far. You might want to contact TroM. He is also working with PnP and Truevision 3d 6.5. Maybe you both can exchange experiences.

Thank you Ralf.
In effect we exchanged some infos into the truevision forums.
Anyway I was able to import without excessive effort the vegetation via .txt export and now I'm working in applying bumpmap shaders to the trunks of the trees.
Next step will be to subsitute the standard textures to a seamless version and to add water and atmosphere.
Amazing tool this PnP pro, it saves a LOT of time !

Is TV3D 6.5 available? I was kind of interested in checking it out whenever that version became available.

Tv 6.5 Is not freely avalaible since it's in a beta stage.
The question about future avalibility is often raised on the forums but there isn't, at the present, any date estimate.

Okay, thanks for the response :)
I have asked this so many times in different forums where someone was discussing TV 6.5 (even where darqshadow\dashadow was posting) but never got an answer whenever I asked it.

Well, unfortunately when a 3d engine is going throught a major revision it's normal to delay the eta for releasing it, just like what's happening with Garagegames' TSE.
In the case of Truevision 6.5, we must also consider that it's not really a major revision rather than a complete rewriting of the engine with the very latest technologies avalaible, so the answer given by the developers "It will be done when it will be done" is completely understandable.

Anyway, if I can suggest you an advice, registering 6.2 to have access to the beta program is worth any single euro; 6.5 does amazing things...

I'll consider that advice. I just recently restarted my engine project and going to see where that goes over the next few months.
