 Post subject: Tree placement texture off - set

Hi Ralf,

I think i found a bug in Pnp. I've set up 1 texture as a forest texture & wanted to spray a forest on to it with the ground restriction on. Now i got my detail element size st to 2m, so i guess the actual tree placement is not calculated abck to this. See picture below.

The 2 dark patches are my forest terrain, the location where trees can be sprayed is offset.

Also, automatic tree placement doesn't seem to work...

Hi,

you are right. The forest spray and automated tree placement generation disregard the horizontal scaling when testing the ground texture. Will be fixed with the next release. The only work around is use a scaling of 1 for the placing of trees in this way, then change the scaling and let PnP automatically also update the tree placements for this new scaling (you will be asked if this should be done). Not very comfortable, but unfortunately the only currently available option, sorry.
