Ogre is not linked at all.

Your errors in the log file are not relevant in this context. The program fails to load a water surface definition, because you haven't used water so far for this terrain. This is no problem.

What operating systems do you use? Have you tested some of the other exporters (for example "Texture map to BMP" or "Heightmap to BMP")?

I have tried it on 4 machines. 3 running 32 bit XP with all service packs - and one running 64 bit XP with all service packs...

The other export modes WORK

- the only one that does not work is "texture splatting alpha map export". (which is the one I need - saddly)

Is there a method which we can use to test what is not working with this plugin? Can you log actions done into the plugin so we can obtain a feedback on our machines and send that to you?
Im on Vista btw but i dont think that matters.

Well, this is a version, which works on all PCs I tested.
Please give it a try.

Regarding the problem with all black files: Please try to use the "alphamap channels/format" option "3: RGB" first. This should result in something like that:

Very strange...

Can you please try to export the sample terrains, which can be downloaded from our web site?
If the export works for the sample terrain, can you please send me your terrain project directory for testing?

Ralf

"I have downloaded the PNP texture pack and example terrain, but I still get the crash."

Quote from first post - It's the first test I did...

I'm very sorry for the problems and the fact that it takes so long to solve them.
Unfortunately I'm currently involved too deep in another project and could not spend so much time on it by now.
I'll take a closer look in this issue over the weekend; promised.

Again, I'm sorry.

I am at the point to where I need to chuck my - purchased - PNP into the recycle bin and find another solution.

I find it interesting that your - selling - a broken product, but don't have time to fix it because you've moved on to another project.

Exporting the example terrain - I now get all the textures...

It crashes before I get a material file or shader files...

It's obvious you are very frustrated and I can understand this. However, I have been a customer for a long time and Ralf has a great track record of producing fixes very promptly. I feel sure this is a unique situation and not the norm.
