Hello,

would it be possible to import object placements from say a txt or csv file? Would the current SDK allow for such a tool to be created?

thx

You can definately code a plugin to do this. I have done something similar myself (not reading from a file but getting the placements from another source).

Currently, there are only getter methods available at the plugin interface for object placements. So there is no direct way to import object placements via the plugin interface. But surely there is a need to add such (setter/create) methods to the interface in the future.

Thats right. I stand corrected. What I have done in the past is export object placements for another engine to use. Have not imported them into PnPTC. I apologize for the confusion.
