I'm beginning to work on an exporter for objects/trees and have a few questsions. For a given sector, will the order of the returned tree placements always be the same? In other words each time I call GetTreePlacement(0), will I get the same tree placement (assuming the tree placement has not been removed since making the call last time). The reason I am asking is because my object data file needs to contain an incrementing ID for each object. I can't use the GUID. So I'm trying to determine if I have to maintain a cross reference between the tree placement GUID and my ID or if I can always count on the order of the export being the same.

I have done something like this before but it's been a while so I don't remember how I handled it. If you don't get an official response soon, I can try to look back at how I handled this in the past.

Hello Sanimirza,

as long as the trees/objects on a sector are not changed, they will be exported in the same order.
However, I'd suggest to use the GUID for referencing them. Maybe you can additionally save some sort of lookup-table between the GUID and your identifiert in a separate file to make subsequent exports consistent.

Actually, I think that is the way I handled it. Created some mapping between the GUID and my identifier.
